The rising stars of the European golf will return to Galgorm Castle, Ballymena as they try to follow in the footsteps of superstar European Challenge Tour graduates Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose.

2016’s Tayto Northern Ireland Open in partnership with Ulster Bank saw record crowds witness Olympian Ryan Fox (New Zealand) romp to victory with a dazzling final round of 62 (-9), eclipsing Tournament Ambassador and 5-time European Tour winner Michael Hoey in the penultimate grouping.

In 2016, the Ulster Bank Food Festival formed part of Tourism NI’s Year of Food & Drink and the food festival will continue to be a core element of the event in 2017. 2016 also saw the introduction of the NI Open’s Interactive Zone, which offered free golf lessons in the CGI Swingzone and the opportunity for visitors to play on Galgorm Castle’s new Pitch & Putt course; there are already exciting plans being made for this year’s offerings so watch this space.
