Home favourite Dermot McElroy romped to victory in the Northern Ireland Open presented by Modest! Golf Management to book his place in the 2022 ISPS HANDA World Invitational. His eight-under total (205) was enough to win by seven from Limerick’s Tim Rice in second. England’s Billie-Jo Smith was the leading female and all three will play in the World Invitational.
Host Venues
New format in 2022 where professionals competed alongside amateurs, similar to the Dunhill Links Championship, and played over three great venues; Cairndhu, Castlerock and Galgorm, one of the most recognised tournament venues in Ireland. Galgorm Castle has hosted international tournament golf since 2010 and is current host venue to the ISPS HANDA World Invitational.
