Jonny Caldwell became only the eighth Northern Irishman to win on the main European Tour after his breakthrough success at the recent Scandinavian Mixed hosted by Henrik & Annika in Sweden. The 37-year-old closed with a sensational final round 64 to land his maiden tour victory. Caldwell, who partnered Rory McIlroy in the 2007 Walker Cup at Royal County Down, has played on various tours but came of age with his win in Sweden. The affable Irishman is looking forward to getting back home to compete on soil and in front of the home crowds.
