Golf Ireland

Golf Ireland is the single governing body for golf on the island of Ireland. Established in 2021 it continues from over 125 years of tradition and development of its two predecessors, the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies’ Golf Union (ILGU) – the two oldest golfing unions in the world.

As a Women in Golf Signatory, Golf Ireland is committed to transforming golf into a sport that is fully inclusive at all levels. Golf Ireland aims to lead the sport by setting examples and standards in equality and inclusivity and ensuring these standards are the benchmark for the sport. The ISPS HANDA Ulster Stroke Play will take place at Royal County Down from May 31 – June 1 and is open to both male and female players. Following the 54 hole event, the leading two male players and the leading female player will be gain an exemption into the ISPS HANDA World Invitational.
